(ABC 6 News) – After 42 years, Family Video is calling it quits, closing all of its stores including Rochester and Mason City.
In an letter posted on its website, the company cited the on-going COVID-19 pandemic for not only decreased foot traffic, but also in the lack of movie releases for the closures.
The letter says January 6th will be the last day to rent movies or games from its stores and stores will close once all inventory has been sold.
Family Video says its more than 250 stores nationwide will be offering deals on movies, video games, CBD products and store fixtures.
