New York delays commence of college year to let much more prep time

NEW YORK (AP) — New York City is delaying sending students back to classrooms in the nation’s biggest public college technique, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Tuesday.

De Blasio mentioned in-class college instruction will be delayed by 11 days to let additional prep time for teachers.

The improvement comes just after de Blasio emphasized for months that the city’s 1.1 million public college students need to have schools to resume in-particular person instruction this fall just after the coronavirus abruptly forced a thorny plunge into remote understanding in March.
