BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ – With several streets cleaned of debris, Crest Drive was one of the last impassable streets in Berkeley Heights. The downed poles were Verizon poles and the crew arrived late Friday afternoon to assess the damage, clean and repair.
As of Friday evening, the JCP&L website reports 321 customers remain without power in Berkeley Heights in comparison, as of 3:30 p.m. Friday afternoon, there were 813 customers out of powers. If a customer received notification from JCP&L that your power is ON, yet it’s not, JCP&L needs you to report the outage again to ensure your outage gets restored. Customers should call 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877) to report their outage or click the “Report Outage” link on www.firstenergycorp.com.
Power was restored to Summit Medical Group on Diamond Hill Road and the Township Sewage Plant is back online after no power since the storm, according to Township Administrator Liza Viana.
